Flyte Systems and DisplayIQ, Install Live Airline Information at Two Hotels

Author: WireSpring on 2008-10-09 10:56:50

From this press release:

Flyte Systems, the leading provider of subscription-based airport flight information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, convention centers and related businesses, announced it partnering with DisplayIQ, a respected provider of interactive digital signage to hospitality and other industries, to install real-time airline travel information at two properties on the DisplayIQ platform. Flyte Systems is the only company that provides real-time airline departure information.

Hotels implementing Flyte Systems airline information on the DisplayIQ interactive digital signage platform are the Fairmont Chicago and the Hyatt Regency Phoenix. A third installation is anticipated at a Ritz Carlton property by year end.

Our take:

While there's nothing terribly exciting about installing digital signs at two hotels, we haven't heard of many people using those signs to show real-time airline information, which seems both technically cool and extremely useful to those hotel patrons.
