| History |
|
WireSpring was founded in May 2000 in Coral Springs, Florida. The
founders' original vision was to use wireless and self-service
technologies to bring the best of the Internet shopping
experience, such as personalized specials and on-demand
product information, to the brick-and-mortar store.
WireSpring thus began with the intention of helping
companies implement next-generation retail technologies,
including digital broadcast networks and self-service
kiosks.
As research and development continued, the company determined
that the best business opportunity was in providing
the core software for public-facing devices, since existing
solutions were unreliable and difficult to manage on a large scale. Thus, WireSpring became focused on developing an extensible software package that would be an optimal fit for medium-to-large retail chains, as well as auto dealers and other vertical markets.
By implementing self-service and digital signage applications
powered by WireSpring's software, businesses benefit
from the most reliable and easiest to manage solution
available, ensuring that customers and employees can
always obtain the information they need. Thus, while
the Company's focus has shifted to software development,
WireSpring remains committed to the original vision
of bringing on-demand information and transactions to the venues where
people work and play.
