The FireCast Media Appliance is powered by top-quality components, providing outstanding video performance and long-term reliability. Unlike "embedded" players, the Media Appliance uses a powerful, 64-bit AMD processor and Nvidia graphics card. Together, these enable playback of multiple videos and graphically-intensive Flash animations on the screen at once (often a stumbling block for embedded devices), plus crisp text and scrolling tickers at various resolutions.

The Media Appliance can drive plasma and LCD displays, projectors, and more. Ample cooling is provided by active and passive ventilation, helping maximize system reliability even in constant-use conditions. And since the Media Appliance uses all industry-standard components (rather than limited production, proprietary ones), you benefit from server-grade parts that already power millions of systems worldwide -- and will be widely available for years to come.

The Media Appliance is available with several options, including a live video input card and multi-head video output. It can also be configured with other PCI expansion cards, like a video-over-CAT5 transmitter.
