Digital Retailing Expo 2005

Author: Bill Gerba on 2005-05-12 09:31:39

For those of you who haven't heard, this year's Digital Retailing Expo is coming up next week (May 18th and 19th) in Chicago.  The show is organized around digital signage, in-store television networks, narrowcasting, interactive kiosk applications, and anything else that might fit under the digital retailing moniker.

While I'm not a huge fan of trade shows, this one looks to be picking up steam, and in terms of growth and performance, will likely mirror the industry as a whole.  If digital retailing continues to expand at its currently vigorous pace (estimated at between 18-35% CAGR over the next few years), the Digital Retailing Expo will likely do quite well.  If things don't go quite as swimmingly as expected, they could be in for some trouble.

You'll notice that WireSpring won't be exhibiting.  But don't worry - our own Mike Smith will be roaming the floor and schmoozing with key partners and clients in attendance.  If you'd like to meet up with him while you're there, send an email to sales@wirespring.com, or open a live chat by clicking the "Live Help" link at the bottom of this page.

When you get back, let me know what you thought of the show.  Past attendees have expressed reactions ranging from "worthless" to "great," with the majority falling somewhere in the middle, but I'd like to know if that opinion is changing.
